An update for everyone!  The Smithon Lap Dash has had a change of venue, the event is still on the same date, but the venue has now changed to the HIGHCLERE KART TRACK.

Results have been posted for the inaugural event of the season.  The day started out with torrential conditions leaving a lot of standing water on the track and making it very tricky for drivers to get anywhere near the handling limits of their cars.  Through the day the rain came and went in varying different showers and downpours, ensuring that all officials and spectators alike were thoroughly drenched by the end of the day.

Some great times were set and congratulations to James Lonergan who took the outright win in his Nissan R32 GTR in less than ideal conditions.

Thanks to all involved with the day - it takes dedication to turn up to an event knowing that the weather is against us, but as always, the dedication of the officials, competitors and spectators is something that keeps this club going and makes Oonah Road Hillclimb one of the strongest events in Tasmania for Club Hillclimb.
